ToyoShow History: 2007

The planning for ToyoShow 2007 started the day after 2006 finished, everyone saw it can be done, how it can be improved and everyone was very motivated to make it bigger and better.
In the planning for 2007 the show was relocated to Wigley Reserve in Glenelg, to take the show more accessible and to really get back to the main reason for the show - to show off the clubs, and try getting more people into the car clubs represented at the show. As such, there was no spectator charge, to try encouraging more spectators, more sponsors, food stalls, every part making the show bigger, better.
In terms of planning the ToyotaCarClub.net started to help out, rather than Sean doing everything himself, and also saw the improvements right from day 1, with the super cruise. Dominic Smart was credited with an awesome cruise layout, involving 3 tier cruises which took entrants from Northern beaches, to city, right the way through to southern beaches and then a spirited run through the Adelaide hills.
Saturday saw the first time running of the Dyno Day at Boostworx Performance Engineering, and although only 18 entrants for the dyno it was still a great day that can only be improved.
The show and shine kicked off for a bright and (way too) early Sunday. With cars from all the local clubs setting early to get a good spot, it was set to be a great show. Unfortunately it was 42 degrees But hey, cant blame us for that! The loudest exhaust was taken out by Adrian from the Classic Celica Car Club, while the overall winner was Lesley Nadin from the Rollaclub with her very nicely presented, extremely rare, turbo charged Corolla.
